You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day sales and purchase ledger accounting activities as part of the Accounts Team.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will support the Accounts Team by carrying out day-to-day sales and purchase ledger accounting activities.

As such, you will be responsible for:

  • Manual sales invoicing
  • Processing automatic sales invoicing
  • Purchase ledger input
  • Credit control
  • Communicating and liaising, both verbally and in writing, with customers, suppliers and relevant staff
  • Banking BACS and credit card payments
  • Maintaining accurate records on SAGE

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Experience using SAGE, Excel and Word
  • Strong organisational skills
  • 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Friendly and enthusiastic approach

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous accounts experience
