Apprenticeship Quality and Governance Officer

 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

 

The purpose of this role is to support the work of BPP Education Group’s Apprenticeship Quality and Compliance Team. It is a pivotal role which see the post holder working across all areas of BPP that is apprenticeship facing. Being digitally literate and having the capability to handle and interpret detailed data sets accurately, is essential and a core part of this role. The post holder will also be required to deliver a professional secretariat service in respect of BPP Education Group’s apprenticeship governance committees, of which there are three, each meeting on a tri-annual basis.

 

The post holder will also take a leading part in ensuring that all apprenticeship programmes are aligned with current best practice and the latest apprenticeship standard. They will be responsible for convening apprenticeship approval panels as required, and devising and operating a system to record and track all apprenticeship approvals and modifications across the BPP Education Group. As such, the post holder will be required to be a highly effective communicator, capable of inspiring and motivating people. They will be able to prepare effective communications and share outcomes, and processes, effectively through a range of channels including reports, committee minutes and intranet pages.

What you’ll be doing

 

 

In this role, you will provide full secretariat support for BPP Education Group’s Apprenticeship Governance Committees, ensuring meetings are well-organised by drafting agendas and papers, taking minutes, and tracking actions. You will also work closely with the Director of Apprenticeship Quality and Regulation as an Approvals Officer, supporting the approval of new apprenticeship programs. This includes coordinating panel meetings, reviewing documentation and offering guidance to program development teams. Additionally, you will manage apprenticeship programme and change requests, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all course documents remain up to date.

 

You will contribute to research and data analysis to support the preparation of reports for committees and senior staff. A key part of your role will be leading communication efforts, ensuring timely and accurate updates for stakeholders, maintaining intranet content and streamlining team communications. You will also support the development and annual review of apprenticeship policies, procedures and regulations. As part of a collaborative team, you will help foster a motivated and efficient working environment, contributing to team objectives and discussions. Other duties may be assigned as required by the Director of Apprenticeship Quality and Regulation.
