Job Introduction

Job Purpose

A BPP Skills Coach provides primary support to our students and helps them navigate through the programme and prepare them for End-Point Assessment.

Our Coaches also help students set and meet their own personal targets and develop a growth mindset through regular coaching calls. BPP Skills Coaches have relevant industry experience to allow them to assess their students' knowledge, skills and behaviours against specific industry standards and provide feedback to help them develop.

Coaches are responsible for managing their students' data and keeping accurate records of each interaction and signposting support services.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Book and attend regular coaching calls and provide prompt feedback to assignments within SLA's
  • Maintaining accurate records of students interactions and progression
  • Ensure a high standard of written communication, demonstrating good spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Help students identify development areas, set goals and establish plans to achieve them
  • Manage own workload and keep calendar updated
  • Work with students as required to help them to successfully complete the programme
  • Effectively undertake any other duties as required

 

Candidate Criteria

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working within financial services or any FCA regulated organisation
  • Experience coaching or training others
  • Experience providing developmental feedback
  • Working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving skills and proven ability to work autonomously
  • Confident with written communication and a high standard of spelling, grammar and punctuation

Desirable experience:

  • Previous experience working in a coaching or assessing role
  • Coaching, teaching or assessing qualifications
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Developing core skills in junior colleagues
  • Previous roles leading or supporting less experience colleagues
  • Achievement of qualifications related to investments (or financial services)
  • Experience working with investment products (or facilitating the delivery or regulation)
