What you’ll be doing

 

Joining BPP as the Head of Financial Reporting within our Professional Development team offers a dynamic opportunity to delve into the intricate world of financial reporting while nurturing a diverse clientele. Specializing in IFRS with a comprehensive grasp of both UK GAAP and US GAAP, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding learners through the complexities of financial standards.

Your role will extend across the UK, seamlessly blending online and face-to-face sessions, ensuring a flexible yet engaging learning experience. As the Head of Financial Reporting, you'll take the lead in delivering comprehensive training sessions, tailored specifically to RFS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP, for both public and in-house courses. Cultivating and curating a robust portfolio of Financial Reporting courses will be central to your responsibilities, ensuring BPP remains at the forefront of professional development in this field.

Beyond the classroom, you'll be instrumental in maintaining BPP's strong client relationships and affiliations with major accounting institutes. Your strategic input will shape the development process, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to set budgets, forecasts, and targets. Driving the implementation of large-scale client programs will be in your capable hands, overseeing every aspect from project management to commercial support, and ensuring alignment with market needs.

Your role will also involve close liaison with relevant professional bodies and clients, ensuring alignment with industry standards and evolving needs. Managing the academic content and pedagogy of specialized modules and programs will be a key focus, alongside continuously refining course outlines and content to enhance learning outcomes and market relevance. As the Head of Financial Reporting, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of financial education, empowering professionals to excel in their field.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP are essential. 
  • Relevant professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and an innovative approach to training.
  • Willingness to contribute, learn and develop and a willingness to travel. 
  • Prior experience in training and professional practice – desirable but not essential
