What you’ll be doing

 

As an Apprenticeship Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation’s apprenticeship provision meets all regulatory requirements. Specialising in ESFA compliance, you’ll lead on internal audit activity, maintain robust quality assurance processes, and support continuous improvement in line with funding rules and policy.

 

As such, you will be responsible for:

 

  • As an Apprenticeship Compliance Officer, you will specialise in apprenticeship ESFA regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to ESFA Funding rules through comprehensive audits and reporting.
  • Collaborating closely with management and internal audit teams, you'll streamline processes, foster compliance culture, and contribute to strategic decision-making
  • Follow internal processes and follow internal audit schedules in line with the ESFA financial assurance audit working papers.
  • Work with the team to complete audit checks on all stages of the apprenticeship, including PDSAT reports
  • Develop, produce and maintain audit reports based on finding, including actions and recommendations for internal and external audiences 
  • Complete action plans where needed
  • Contribute to the preparation of external audits
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of ESFA funding rules
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the Apprenticeship Compliance Manager and as may be reasonably expected with the post.

 

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of ESFA funding rules 
  • Experience in the education sector, preferably in an apprenticeship environment
  • Experience conducting audits for regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word and Excel
  • Effective planning, organisation and prioritisation abilities
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • High ethical standards and proactive, motivated demeanour
  • Level 3 Qualification or above with a minimum L2 in maths and English

How will this process work?

The interview process for this position will consist of the following stages:

  • A task to be completed ahead of the interview
  • Competency style interview with two team members – 60 minutes
