Job Purpose

 

BPP Apprenticeship School is recruiting for a Banking Coach role to accommodate the demand needs within the school across our Mortgage Adviser and Financial Services Customer Adviser apprenticeship programmes. We are looking for highly motivated, industry-experienced candidates to bring high quality support, nurture and develop talent within the sector. The overall purpose of the role is to support each learner to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully complete their apprenticeship.

You will be responsible for the on-programme delivery of apprenticeships skills and behaviour standards. This will include coaching and provision of high-quality support, guidance and feedback for all apprentices enrolled on relevant Banking Apprenticeship School programmes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1.Provide a structured and appropriate development journey for the apprentices enabling them to maximise their full potential

2. Manage a cohort of learners by providing excellent coaching and support throughout their apprenticeship programme.

3. Carry out review/coaching calls with learners and line managers to ensure progression with their studies.

4.Update data management systems to accurately reflect learner progress

5.Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including client services, line managers and apprenticeship support

6.Provide detailed feedback to the apprentice on their progress against knowledge skills and behaviours relevant to their standards

7.Communicate effectively with learners via the Hub and other appropriate tools and actively encourage learner engagement with their programmes using resources available

8.Provide academic and safeguarding support to learners

9.Contribute towards learner gateway reviews and support and guide them through the end point assessment phase to ensure target retention and completion rates for Apprenticeships are met.

 

 

Skills, experience & qualifications required - Essential

  • Appropriate Mortgage/Banking experience/qualifications
  • Experience working in a financial services environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work closely with and support all stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide appropriate feedback to students
  • The ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • Experience of working autonomously and managing own workload efficiently and effectively
  • An ability to take responsibility to develop own knowledge and skills

  • Assessor qualification
  • Coaching qualification
  • Experience of working with apprenticeships
  • Coaching experience
