Your role is to engage leads, uncover client needs, and qualify new opportunities. This is a crucial role that blends prospecting, needs analysis and relationship building.
You’ll work closely with BPP Account Managers to identify the right stakeholders at corporate accounts to help us scale both nationally and internationally.
What You’ll Do
As a Business Development Representative, you will identify and engage new prospects, deliver compelling messaging to key stakeholders, use a consultative approach to understand clients and work with Account Managers to craft proposals to support client goals with BPP portfolio of professional and technology-focused courses and customised solutions,
Business Development Representatives will play a critical role in supporting pipeline growth by:
- Qualifying Prospects: Assessing whether identified contacts within a target list of companies have training and development needs that align with BPP Corporate Training’s programmes and services.
- Securing Meetings: Scheduling introductory meetings between qualified prospects and the appropriate Corporate Account Manager to explore potential opportunities.
With the help of a Sales Leader and Corporate Account Managers, you will research existing client companies, identify new decision makers, connect with prospects and discuss current training requirements and qualify whether they have a need that BPP can support before handing over to the Corporate Account Manager for a calendared meeting.
What we’re looking for
- Up to 2 years' experience in sales, business development or sales development
- Experience in consultative selling or needs-based conversations is desirable.
- Preferably in a key client or B2B function, and in a technology or education/training environment
- Interest in technology, education, or skills development sectors
- Strong communication (verbal and written)
- Ability to ask the right questions and discover client requirements
- Resilience and comfort with outbound calling/emails
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
- Organisational and time management skills
- A growth mindset and motivation to build a career in sales
- Polite, professional and presentable

How will this process work?
The interview process for this position will consist of the following stages:
