Here at BPP Education Group, we have a dedicated Facilities & Customer Services team who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of every BPP Centre. Whilst their key function is to safeguard all premises, they also strive to deliver a first-class customer service to our clients, students and colleagues alike.
As BPP continues to grow, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, diligent and personable individual to join the team as a Facilities and Services Team Leader. This is a multifaceted role, incorporating facilities and customer service responsibilities alongside Health & Safety, IT and general day-to-day duties
Reporting to the Facilities and Services Manager, the postholder will lead and develop their team to achieve individual and team goals. A key priority is maintaining an excellent student experience at all centres, adapting services to meet evolving needs. Responsibilities span customer service, building and service operations, health & safety, business continuity, environmental impact, staff management, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the allocated site, ensuring high standards are met.
- Manage reception and ensure classrooms are fully operational, clean, and correctly configured.
- Conduct daily room checks and address any equipment or furniture issues.
- Ensure health, safety, and security for all staff, students, and visitors.
- Lead and develop direct reports, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, and absence management.
- Monitor and respond to customer service feedback in collaboration with Marketing.
- Liaise with landlords and managing agents to ensure lease compliance.
- Provide first-line IT support and manage classroom AV equipment and licences.
- Maintain the Facilities Maintenance portal and ensure timely resolution of tasks.
- Coordinate cleaning, catering, safeguarding, and business continuity plans.
- Ensure all individuals on site wear appropriate identification (lanyards).
- Support Computer-Based Assessments (CBAs), including invigilation.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in Property, Facilities Management, and Services Proven experience in staff management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work proactively and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed customer expectations and drive service excellence.
