The Purpose

You will work as part of the legal apprenticeship team to deliver a high quality, client-centric and student-centric apprenticeship programme. The apprenticeship adviser role has a particular focus on progress review meetings and related support for legal apprentices. All members of the legal apprenticeship team are required to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and quality assurance expectations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a point of contact for all programme queries from students, offering excellent customer service and issue resolution.  
  • Supporting apprentices to successfully complete their BPP apprenticeship programme and their apprenticeship end point assessment.
  • Arranging progress review meetings each term with apprentices and their supervisors and complying with regulatory and quality expectations in relation to those meetings. 
  • Review apprentice engagement on a regular basis and pro-actively facilitate follow up calls with learners in line with the school’s retention and progression strategy, ensuring they have the support they need to achieve and are progressing at the required rate.
  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies including tracking progress of learners, making interventions and providing additional support where appropriate and maintaining accurate learner records.
  • Working closely with the Head of Legal Apprenticeship Programmes, Apprenticeship Programme Leaders, Apprenticeship Managers and the wider BPP apprenticeship teams to support learners and their employers.
  • Keeping up to date with best practice in relation to apprenticeships.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages specifically Outlook, Excel & Access  

Some nice to haves

  • Knowledge of apprenticeships  
  • Experience with supporting learners in an educational environment  
  • Understanding of key systems and IT software
