Job Purpose
Overall responsibility for the BPP Account Managers responsible for the clients belonging to the school of technology and the school of people and skills development.
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the daily running and management of the team and ensuring the team is running as efficiently and productively as possible, assisting the commercial director in driving operational excellence for BPP. They also assist with the day to day sales administration and operational tasks.
The Sales Operations Manager is to assist in improving the reliability of sales forecasts and sales effectiveness. Reporting to the commercial director this role will own the relevant schools sales forecasts and will be responsible for building processes that will aid with improving its accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Line management of the account managers team, measuring performance and progress against quarterly objectives
- Driving and deliver the successful performance of the team
- Reporting on progress towards KPI’s for team performance, carrying out bi-weekly 121’s and reconciling the CRM to ensure accurate financial forecasting
- Managing and maintaining the quality and reliability of sales data in Salesforce
- Oversee the creation of dashboards and reports to track sales performance for each school (school of Tech, school of people and skills development)
- Support the on-going analysis of sales team’s performance and effectiveness
- Lead on tenders and pitches for new business from a school perspective
- Recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members, coach and mentor junior members of the team and underperforming team members
- Maintaining team resources – product related materials and work instructions 5
- Manage sales and opportunities that have been referred from BPP partners such as the MTC, Grant Thornton
- Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes
- Refine and manage prospect and target account caseloads, assist with the implementation of the plan to increase market share for technology and data apprenticeship programmes
- Work with the commercial director to define the business development activities for the school of technology, generating revenue opportunities with new or inactive corporate clients. The purpose of the role is to develop and implement a Business Development strategy and tactical plans
- Skills, experience & qualifications required - Essential
- 5 years experience of relevant sales experience
- Team Management experience
- CRM Salesforce experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Filters, Pivot Tables)
- Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through to execution
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Skills, experience & qualifications required - Desirable
- Ability to use Power BI and MS Excel
- Sales operations experience with proficiency in creating reports, optimising processes and training new hires
- Bachelor’s degree
