What you’ll be doing
In this role you will be responsible for the day today management, development, and performance of Firebrand’s instructor workforce. You will ensure instructors maintain required certifications, deliver high quality learning experiences, and progress through their PCD plans. This role is central to maintaining excellence in teaching standards and operational delivery.
As such, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
Line Management & Leadership
- Provide ongoing line management to instructors across multiple disciplines
- Conduct regular one to ones, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Manage performance concerns using supportive and structured approaches
- Maintain instructor engagement, retention, and motivation
Teaching Quality & Standards
- Monitor teaching delivery through observations, KPI data, and learner feedback
- Identify performance gaps and coordinate corrective actions or targeted support
- Ensure full compliance with internal quality standards and external accreditation requirements
- Work collaboratively with Product teams to align instructor delivery with course content
Certification & Compliance Management
- Track instructor certifications and ensure timely renewal
- Oversee mandatory training, CPD, and subject matter development
- Ensure instructors meet compliance standards required for internal and/or partner accreditations
PCD Plan Continuity & Development
- Oversee ongoing PCD progress for instructors following probation
- Adjust PCD plans to match performance, role development, and new product requirements
- Identify training needs and coordinate relevant CPD or mentoring programmes
Operational Support & Issue Resolution
- Work closely with Scheduling, Operations, and Compliance to maintain smooth delivery
- Support resolution of learner issues related to instructor performance
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:
Skills & Experience
- Experience managing teaching staff, trainers, or education delivery teams
- Strong understanding of learning delivery and adult learning principles
- Excellent coaching, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement improvement strategies
- Experience in fast paced training, education, or certification environments
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and accreditation requirements
