Functional Skills Coordinator  

 

Location:        Remote 

Salary:            £29,000

Contract:        FTC 10 Months (Maternity Cover)

 

Job Purpose

The Functional Skills Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing the smooth delivery of Functional Skills programs, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and supporting learner progress. The coordinator will work closely with the Head of Functional Skills, learners, and coaches, ensuring that all operational procedures are followed and learners receive timely and effective support.

 What you will be doing

 

  • Managing and updating the Functional Skills tracker with all relevant information to meet funding requirements
  • Liaise with the Head of Functional Skills to ensure learners are progressing and Functional Skills is completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all system and student records remain up-to-date and accurate
  • Ensure all relevant documentation and content for students remains up to date and
     accurate
  • Managing the Functional Skill Inbox, ensuring it is consistently monitored and all enquires are actioned appropriately
  • Enrolling learners onto all relevant platforms required for their assessments, upskilling and exams
  • Creating personalised learner plans
  • Providing Functional Skills training for coaches to better support their learners
  • Providing support to the Functional Skills team where necessary

 

What we are looking for

  • Experience of working with a large client base
  • Experience of working in a high-demand environment
  • Excellent computer/IT skills – specifically with Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work well in a team and be collaborative 
  • Have a flexible and responsive approach to workload and the ability to proactively prioritise accordingly
  • Good communication and active listening skills
